For Earth Day 2021, Jane Burston reflects on her optimistic outlook for the next decade with Siemens US CEO, Barbara Humpton, and Head of Sustainability, Americas, for Siemens Financial Services Inc, Martin Powell.
“I’m on a mission to create a world where the air around us is safe for everybody to breathe. That means living in a city that’s cleaner and greener, where there’s more cycling, where walking is safe and public transport is easy and affordable and emission free.
The city that I’m imagining is friendlier, it’s easier to get around, it’s more human centred. And we’re alleviated for this worry and these burdensome health conditions that we have as a result of air pollution.”
