Elitsa is responsible for drafting project concept notes, communicating with local and international grantees and overseeing project implementation.
Elitsa is also the Coordinator of “SOfiaGREEN” at the Sofia Development Association, which aims to streamline municipal policies related to smart and sustainable mobility, air quality and waste management. The work on the Sofia Green Project is tightly linked to finding smart solutions to existing problems of the city by working closely and including the citizen, private sector, NGO’s and academia.
Prior to joining the SOfia Green, Elitsa Panayotova worked as the CEO and founder of Sofia Tech Park – the first Science and Technology Park in Bulgaria.
Elitsa is an architect and urban planner, who’s portfolio includes some of the most innovative real estate projects in Bulgaria. She has also worked in investment management and consultancy for various city and urban development projects.
