Ella Wingard

Senior Analyst
Ella supports the design, management, and evaluation of strategic philanthropic initiatives and partnerships, largely across the Private Sector Engagement and Advocacy portfolios.

Ella is a Senior Analyst at Clean Air Fund, working across Private Sector Engagement, Advocacy, and other cross-cutting programmes to support the design and delivery of high-impact initiatives on air pollution. She brings experience in air quality policy and strategy, corporate sustainability, and international development, with a focus on shaping effective partnerships and translating technical evidence into practical action.

Prior to joining Clean Air Fund, she worked as a Senior Consultant at Ricardo, partnering with businesses, governments, and multilateral organisations, including the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, to strengthen policy, governance, and financing approaches to air quality across the UK, Europe, and Asia. Her work has focused on engaging the private sector in air quality action, including developing corporate reporting approaches and supporting the mobilisation of private finance, alongside managing multi-stakeholder programmes. She is particularly interested in how partnerships and financial systems can accelerate scalable and equitable solutions to air pollution.

Ella holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Leeds, including a year of study at Queensland University of Technology (Australia), and has completed further training in Sustainable Finance with the University of Cambridge.

Why Ella works for Clean Air Fund

It’s a privilege to work at Clean Air Fund, alongside passionate and thoughtful people who are committed to improving public health and tackling climate change. Being part of an organisation focused on raising ambition and driving equitable change across businesses, governments, and the wider system is hugely motivating.
