Sophie O’Connell

Senior Analyst
Sophie supports the management of the UK portfolio and delivery of its strategy. She also supports Breathe Cities through the Breathe London programme, and Europe on the Ambient Air Quality Directive in Ireland.

Before joining the Clean Air Fund, Sophie spent four years at Green Alliance, an environmental charity and think tank, working in their policy and politics team on a range of climate policy areas including health, adaptation, transport and energy. Sophie holds a Masters in Environment, Development and Politics from the University of Birmingham.

I’ve always been interested in the impact the environment has on people. I’m really proud to be working somewhere that is supporting and shaping the work of organisations tackling the disproportionate impact of air pollution.
