This is a pilot project introducing the topic of air quality to the investment sector. It includes increasing investors' awareness of the financial risks associated with air pollution.

This grant enables Our Kids’ Climate to strategically scale effective grassroots clean air campaigns across its global network, embedding child-focused messaging into climate narratives and mobilising parent-led movements to drive policy change.

This Breathe Cities project aims to assess the impact of respiratory-related diseases and morbidities from air pollution over the past decade in Accra, and explore policy interventions to address it.

This Breathe Cities projects enables the advocacy for deployment of school streets, map and outline deployment options for city authorities.

The project aims to support the integration of air quality and black carbon into the next generation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC 3.0). The UNDP will engage with at least eight countries to integrate air quality and black carbon into their NDCs.

In partnership with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), this project will develop black carbon, NOx, SOx and PM 2.5 calculation guidelines for logistics chains (Global Logisitics Emissions Council framework), so that logistics companies better report emissions across their operations.

This Breathe Cities project aims to raise public awareness about air pollution exposure and its health impacts in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area by leveraging radio, television, billboards, and social media to disseminate information to the city's residents.

This Breathe Cities project’s goal is to review existing local bye-laws, engaging local government leadership and communities for incorporation of air pollution parameters in bye-laws. This will enhance enforcement capabilities of the local assemblies in Accra.

This Breathe Cities project will undertake a national investment case to reduce ambient air pollution and improve health in Ghana. UNDP is uniquely placed to collect new data and guidance on air pollution and health, and their impacts to poverty, inequalities, and exclusion. 

The Breathe Cities project's goal is to develop municipality specific air quality action plans based on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regional level air quality management plans for the 15 assemblies in the Breathe Accra project.
